More than 25 years of music-making

Most of the Academy Choir’s concerts since our beginnings in 1980 have been in Wimbledon, initially in St Mary’s Parish Church.  We moved to St. John’s Church in 2002, to take advantage of the larger performing space and the acoustic properties of the building.

We have also given concerts and chamber operas in Paris on four occasions and sung Services at Gloucester, Hereford and Southwark Cathedrals and at Eton and Stowe. In 2005 we celebrated the Trafalgar Bicentenary with Haydn’s Nelson Mass at Nelson’s Church in Merton.
