Monteverdi - Vespers of 1610

His Majestys Sagbutts & Cornetts

Charlotte La Thrope, Charlotte Bowden, Hugo Hymas, Kieran Carrel

We are always happy to hear from organisations that might wish to work with an excellent and flexible choir.

Whether you need a larger group for recording, TV or film work, a full choir to support a tour, concert or festival anywhere in the world or a small group for a private or corporate event we will bring an open mind to your project and work with you to make it reality.

Please do find out more here or contact us here.

We are a friendly bunch of accomplished, confident and experienced choral singers and are always happy to hear from like-minded people who might enjoy singing with us.  We have a small number of vacancies in the choir and also operate a list for those who are unable (for any reason) to join the choir straight away but who would like to sing with us when spots are available.  We will be holding auditions for singers to join us on both bases once the current healthcare situation permits.

Do find out more about joining us here and get in touch if you might be interested in joining us.

We are hugely grateful to members of our Friends scheme and other generous individual and corporate supporters.  Without this support it would simply not be possible to give concerts in our community of the quality we do.

In particular we are keen to thank Marcus Beale Architects, our season sponsors for the 2020/21 season,

who do so much to support the arts in the Wimbledon area.

If you would like to know more, or to become one of our supporters, whether small or large, please do click here and feel free to contact Helen.

We are an outstanding local choir rooted in the heart of our Wimbledon community.  Our repertoire covers intriguing but wonderful lesser known pieces together with many of the best-loved works of the choral canon.

Under the inspired leadership of Matthew Best we perform at the highest level alongside leading players and soloists.  Our concerts contribute to the vibrant cultural life of our community. inspiring new listeners and our established audience alike.

Visitors to our concerts enjoy not only the high musical standards but also a genuine and friendly welcome, right in the heart of our community.

We are delighted to report that we recently undertook a hugely successful tour to France to give two performances of Messiah alongside Roberto Forés Veses and L’Orchestre national d’Auvergne.  The concerts were given in the opera houses of Clermont-Ferrand and Vichy.  Photographs and updates can be seen on our Facebook account and photo gallery.
